German state security is investigating suspected arson on power cables in Berlin-Marzahn alongside several other police responses in the capital region.

German state security has launched an investigation into suspected arson following a fire beneath a cable bridge in Berlin-Marzahn that briefly interrupted local power supplies. Authorities suspect the target may have been chosen deliberately.

In a separate incident in the capital, a six-year-old girl sustained minor injuries after falling from a third-story window at a shelter for homeless people, where a passerby caught her before impact.

These events follow a series of emergency responses across Berlin and Brandenburg. Police recently evacuated a terminal at Berlin Brandenburg Airport over potential hazardous materials and detained a 22-year-old passenger for assaulting an airline employee. Additionally, officers from the specialized unit "Ferrum" seized firearms, ammunition, and body armor during raids targeting an illegal weapons trafficking network.
