German state security has opened an arson investigation in Berlin-Marzahn amid a series of emergency responses and police operations across the capital region.

German state security is investigating a deliberate arson attack on a cable bridge in Berlin-Marzahn that caused a brief power outage. Authorities are also reviewing a potential confession letter regarding power grid sabotage in Brandenburg.

In separate incidents, police at Berlin Brandenburg Airport temporarily evacuated a terminal over suspected hazardous materials and detained a 22-year-old passenger for assaulting an airline worker.

Meanwhile, Berlin's specialized unit "Ferrum" seized firearms, ammunition, and body armor during raids against illegal weapons trafficking, identifying four suspects. Additionally, a six-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in Berlin after falling from a third-story shelter window into the arms of a passerby.
