German police placed an airport passenger in custody following an assault, conducted weapons searches in Berlin, and faced questions over intelligence sharing.

A 22-year-old passenger at Berlin Brandenburg Airport was remanded in custody after assaulting an employee when two late-arriving travelers were denied boarding. In a separate incident at the airport, authorities cleared a terminal to investigate suspected hazardous material.

Elsewhere in the capital, police unit "Ferrum" executed search warrants targeting four suspects, seizing a hidden handgun, ammunition, a blank-firing pistol, and protective vests.

Concurrently, scrutiny has mounted regarding communication failures between security agencies. Reports revealed that the Federal Intelligence Service failed to share critical information concerning the radical network of suspect Abdul B. with Berlin authorities prior to an attack.
