Berlin police launch manhunt for suspect in pride parade vehicle attack

Berlin police issued a public manhunt for 21-year-old Abdul B. following a vehicle attack at the city's pride parade that killed one person and injured 16.
German authorities have released a photo and description of 21-year-old suspect Abdul B. as part of a public manhunt following a deadly vehicle attack at Berlin's Christopher Street Day parade.
On Saturday evening near Tiergarten park, a white car struck several pedestrians before crashing into a tree, killing one woman and injuring 16 others, several critically. Police spokesperson Florian Nath confirmed that investigators identified the suspect, who was already known to law enforcement as an affiliate of local Islamist circles.
The incident prompted officials to immediately halt all pride festivities and concerts, which had drawn hundreds of thousands of participants demonstrating for LGBTQ rights. Law enforcement agencies continue an intensive search to locate the fugitive.
