Ukraine warns of imminent Russian missile assault amid ongoing strikes
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a potential mass Russian missile strike within two days as Ukrainian air defenses intercept drones and missiles nationwide.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cautioned that partner intelligence indicates Russia is preparing a large-scale missile assault within two days. The warning comes alongside continued aerial bombardments targeting multiple regions.
Ukrainian air defense forces reported neutralizing 81 attack drones and intercepting one of three ballistic missiles launched toward the Kyiv region. Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat noted that two supersonic Onyx missiles aimed at southern targets also failed to hit their objectives.
However, recent attacks continue to inflict civilian casualties. Emergency services reported that 30 people, including seven children, were injured in Zaporizhzhia following guided aerial bomb strikes. Additionally, a drone explosion near a high-rise building in Kharkiv injured one person and shattered windows. Ukrainian officials stress that high-level aerial threats persist nationwide.
