US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over plots targeting pro-Ukraine figures, while a German court convicted a man over a Russian parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with running a global network to assassinate and harass supporters of Ukraine across Europe and North America. According to authorities, the suspects recruited and paid operatives to surveil targets, including individuals linked to a June 2024 attack in Prague. All five accused individuals currently remain at large.

In a related development, a German regional court in Stuttgart convicted a Ukrainian national involved in a parcel bomb operation directed by Russian state entities. The plot entailed mailing packages containing explosive materials and tracking devices from Germany to Ukraine to disrupt security networks and erode public confidence.
