Hungary's Tisza Party faction will vote Saturday to choose its presidential candidate from three potential nominees ahead of Monday's official deadline.
Hungary’s opposition Tisza Party parliamentary group will vote on Saturday to decide its candidate for President of the Republic, faction leader Andrea Bujdosó announced.
Speaking to state news agency MTI, Bujdosó confirmed that the selection process aims to provide lawmakers with a choice among multiple candidates, with Telex reporting that three nominees are under consideration. The official deadline to submit presidential nominations to the National Assembly is set for Monday at 10:00 AM.
The faction is currently finalizing the selection procedure and discussing how the chosen candidate will be presented to the public prior to the submission deadline.
