Search and rescue operations continue along the Nepal-Tibet border following glacial collapse and flash floods, with 469 confirmed dead in Nepal and over 1,500 missing.

Emergency responders in Nepal and Tibet are continuing search and rescue operations following Wednesday's devastating glacial collapse and subsequent flash floods along the Himalayan border. Nepali authorities reported that the national death toll has climbed to 469, while Chinese officials maintain three confirmed fatalities in Tibet.

More than 1,500 people remain missing across the region, including around 800 foreign nationals from countries such as the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Ukraine, Malaysia, and the United States. Destruction of roads, bridges, power networks, and communication lines continues to hamper rescue missions in remote border areas like Gyirong, where secondary flood risks persist. Emergency crews are attempting to reach isolated mountain settlements despite severe infrastructure damage.
