Ukraine struck two major Russian oil refineries following high-level talks in Washington between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian forces struck two major Russian oil refineries and a logistics hub in the Ryazan region to impair Moscow’s war funding. The long-range strikes took place shortly after Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump at the White House to request expanded air defense capabilities against Russian missile attacks.

The White House meeting occurred ahead of the funeral for US Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent advocate for aid to Kyiv. During his Washington visit, Zelenskyy also met with US senators to press for continued support.

Separately, Trump announced that the United States would launch a "very strong" response to an Iranian attack targeting US military assets in Jordan, marking an escalation in regional tensions.
