US President Donald Trump held bilateral talks at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The diplomatic sessions coincided with the funeral of former US Senator Lindsey Graham.
During their encounter, Trump and Zelenskyy addressed options for bolstering Ukraine's air defense capabilities against ongoing Russian missile attacks. Ukrainian officials noted that American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are evaluating a potential trip to Kyiv to support renewed peace negotiations. Meanwhile, Netanyahu described his discussion with Trump as "excellent."
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt characterized both diplomatic engagements as "positive and productive." Following the Oval Office meetings, Zelenskyy was scheduled to confer with US lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
