Ukrainian agricultural enterprise manager Viktor Hordienko detailed how frontline farmers must directly defend their land against Russian drone strikes.

Ukrainian agricultural enterprise manager Viktor Hordienko has highlighted the transformation of frontline farming into an active defensive effort following Russia's full-scale invasion. Before the conflict, Hordienko managed international grain exports, studying logistics in China and coordinating shipments through European trade hubs such as Geneva.

Now operating directly adjacent to the combat zone, Hordienko and other local farmers actively defend their agricultural property against incoming Russian reconnaissance and attack drones using shotguns. Despite the constant risks from aerial attacks, maintaining agricultural operations remains critical for safeguarding regional livestock, protecting essential machinery, and sustaining local food production along the active frontline.
