At least seven people died after a drone struck a crowded beach near Gelendzhik in southern Russia, according to local officials.

At least seven people, including three children, were killed and approximately 40 others injured when a drone struck a crowded beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka, a coastal village near Gelendzhik in southern Russia's Krasnodar region.

According to Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, at least 17 of those injured required hospitalization. Verified video footage shows an unmanned aircraft descending toward a cliffside before exploding into a fireball on the shoreline packed with holidaymakers. Russian regional authorities attributed the attack to Ukrainian forces, describing it as one of the deadliest incidents at a civilian recreational site since the start of the full-scale conflict.
