German law enforcement officers are searching for a suspect with alleged Islamist connections after a vehicle drove into a crowd at Berlin's Christopher Street Day in Tiergarten park on Saturday evening.

The incident resulted in one death and 16 injuries, with three victims remaining in critical condition. Media reports indicated that knife attacks may have also occurred. Police suspended the Pride celebration shortly before 10:00 p.m. while emergency responders managed the scene.
