German authorities are searching for a suspect after a van rammed into a crowd at Berlin's Pride festival, killing one person and injuring 16 others.

German authorities have launched a citywide manhunt following a vehicle ramming at Berlin's Christopher Street Day festival on Saturday evening that left one woman dead and 16 others injured, several critically. Shortly before 22:00 local time, a white transport van drove into a crowd near Tiergarten park before the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stated that preliminary evidence points toward an intentional act, remarking that "everything we are seeing here shows that we are dealing with an Islamist attack." Investigators have reportedly identified a suspect as local and federal police carry out intensive search operations. Organizers suspended the parade immediately after the incident.
