Spanish and Turkish authorities are investigating several transport accidents, including a derailment in Toledo that killed 64 people and multiple fatal collisions across Turkey.

Authorities in Spain and Turkey are conducting investigations following a series of transport accidents across both countries.

In Spain, a high-speed passenger train operating on the Madrid-Seville line derailed near Los Yebenes in Toledo province, leaving at least 64 people dead. The impact forced two carriages down an embankment, prompting a large-scale emergency response.

In Turkey, multiple traffic accidents resulted in further casualties. A head-on collision between two cars in Ankara’s Polatlı district killed three people and injured four others. In Isparta’s Keçiborlu district, a minibus carrying seasonal agricultural workers struck a freight truck from behind, injuring 17 workers. Another freight vehicle collision caused one fatality and injured three people. Local law enforcement and rescue teams have launched inquiries into each incident.
