Investigations are under way in Spain and Turkey following a high-speed train collision near Toledo and several fatal road accidents across Turkish provinces.

Authorities in Spain and Turkey are conducting investigations following a series of deadly transport accidents.

In central Spain, at least 64 people died when two high-speed trains collided near Los Yebenes in Toledo province along the Madrid-Seville line. Emergency services reported that the impact sent two carriages sliding down an embankment.

Meanwhile, multiple fatal road accidents occurred across Turkey. In Ankara's Polatlı district, a head-on collision between two cars resulted in three deaths and four injuries. In Isparta province, a minibus transporting seasonal farm workers crashed into the back of a freight truck, injuring 17 passengers. Additionally, another rear-end crash involving heavy transport vehicles left one person dead and three injured.
