EU warns against attacks on European soil amid rising Kyiv drone strikes

Russian forces targeted Kyiv with overnight drone strikes, while the EU warned against Moscow-linked incidents on European soil following a German probe in Leipzig.
Russian forces carried out fresh overnight drone strikes on Kyiv, injuring a woman and damaging local infrastructure following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the UN General Assembly. In response, Ukraine targeted Russian fuel refineries with long-range drones, forcing Moscow to import foreign fuel. Concurrently, Russia's defense ministry announced a renewed military campaign specifically aimed at destroying Ukraine's energy grid.
Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen declared, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil." Her statement followed a German investigation into explosive drone incidents in Leipzig, which identified two suspects linked to Moscow.
