Fresh Russian drone strikes targeted Kyiv following Zelensky's UN address, while the EU issued warnings over Moscow-linked intelligence operations in Germany.

Russian forces carried out additional nighttime drone strikes targeting Kyiv following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly, injuring at least one civilian. The barrage coincides with a declared Russian military strategy targeting Ukraine's energy grid.

In turn, Ukrainian strikes against Russian petroleum refineries have strained domestic fuel supplies, forcing Moscow to import petroleum products from abroad. Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asserted that the European Union will not tolerate attacks on its soil, following the identification of two Moscow-linked suspects in connection with explosive drone incidents in Leipzig, Germany.
