Deadly cross-border strikes and front-line clashes escalate between Russia and Ukraine

Intensified cross-border strikes and ground combat have caused severe casualties across Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian missile and drone strikes hit several Russian regions, resulting in six deaths in the Belgorod border area and five fatalities with at least ten injured in the Moscow region. In Krasnodar Krai, a drone crashed onto a Black Sea beach near Gelendzhik, killing seven people and injuring dozens. In the Leningrad region, drone strikes damaged a warehouse facility.

Simultaneously, Russian aerial bombardments struck Ukrainian cities, with an attack on Kyiv killing nine people and wounding over 30, alongside overnight strikes targeting port infrastructure in Odesa's Izmail district. Along the front lines, military reports recorded sharp fighting, including Russian tactical advances in the Kharkiv sector and continued clashes across the Donetsk region.
