Cross-border strikes between Ukraine and Russia leave casualties on both sides

Intensified cross-border strikes between Ukraine and Russia have caused casualties and infrastructure damage across multiple regions.

In Russia, regional officials reported that a Ukrainian missile strike killed six people and injured four in the Belgorod border area. Drone attacks targeted commercial logistics facilities in the Moscow region, killing five people and injuring at least ten, while another drone strike ignited a warehouse fire in the Leningrad region. Along the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar Krai, seven people died and dozens were injured when a drone crashed onto a beach in Arkhipo-Osypivka.

Simultaneously, Russian attacks struck Kyiv, leaving nine dead and over 30 wounded, alongside overnight drone and missile assaults targeting port facilities in Ukraine's Izmail district. Ground fighting continues along the eastern front, amid reports of Russian advances in the Kharkiv sector and continued engagements across the Donetsk region.
