Zelenskyy warns of impending Russian missile strike as attacks hit Ukrainian cities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that intelligence from security services and international partners indicates Russian forces are preparing a large-scale missile strike within two days.

The warning follows a series of aerial bombardments across Ukraine. Air defense forces reported intercepting one of three Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles targeted at the Kyiv region, along with neutralizing 81 attack drones. Ukrainian Air Force officials also noted the launch of two Onyx missiles aimed at southern regions, emphasizing that high-speed ballistic threats persist nationwide.

The recent attacks have caused significant civilian casualties and infrastructural damage. In Zaporizhzhia, an airstrike wounded 30 people, including seven children. Meanwhile, a strike by an attack drone near a residential high-rise building in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district shattered windows and left one person injured.
