Russian mass air strike hits Ukraine leaving eight dead and targeting power grid

A Russian air attack on Ukraine killed at least eight people, disrupted power in five regions, and involved a suspected North Korean ballistic missile.
A widespread Russian missile and drone attack across Ukraine has killed at least eight people and wounded more than 50, according to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi.
The early-morning barrage hit residential areas and key infrastructure in multiple regions, including Kyiv, Lviv, and Kryvyi Rih. National grid operator Ukrenergo confirmed power disruptions across five oblasts, with the most critical energy damage reported in Sumy Oblast. In western Ukraine, air defense systems engaged incoming cruise missiles over Lviv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that preliminary findings suggest Russian forces used a North Korean ballistic missile to strike Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, though formal forensic examinations remain ongoing to verify the munition's origin.
