Zelenskyy warns of impending Russian missile strike as attacks continue

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that intelligence indicates Russian forces are preparing a widespread missile strike against Ukraine within forty-eight hours. The caution comes alongside ongoing aerial bombardments targeting multiple regions across the country.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched three Iskander-M or S-400 ballistic missiles toward the Kyiv region and targeted southern regions with two supersonic Onyx missiles. Ukrainian air defense systems successfully intercepted one ballistic missile and neutralized 81 attack drones during recent engagements.

The latest wave of Russian strikes caused casualties and infrastructure damage. An airstrike on Zaporizhzhia injured 30 people, including seven children. In Kharkiv, a drone detonation near a high-rise residential building in the Saltivka district shattered windows and injured a civilian. Military officials warned that aerial threats remain elevated nationwide.
