US-Ukraine Patriot missile co-production deal delayed past winter

United States Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker confirmed that a long-term agreement between Washington and Kyiv for the joint production of Patriot air defense interceptors will not be finalized prior to this winter.

Speaking to Fox News, Whitaker stated that while the complex Patriot technology agreement faces delays, collaborative efforts with Ukraine and European allies regarding the joint manufacturing of other air defense systems remain active. Kyiv has consistently sought to expand defense manufacturing partnerships with Western nations to bolster its defensive shield ahead of anticipated Russian strikes against energy infrastructure during the colder months.

Despite the delay in establishing Patriot missile manufacturing, Washington maintains its focus on security initiatives designed to strengthen Ukrainian defense capabilities through broader international partnerships.
