US prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian agents over global assassination plots, while Denmark reports Russian sabotage against its defense firms.

Unsealed federal indictments in Manhattan reveal United States prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with conspiring to execute assassinations and sabotage across Europe and North America.

According to the Justice Department, the suspects directed a global network, paying or attempting to recruit individuals to surveil and murder targets aligned with Ukraine. The alleged campaign includes a June 2024 attack in Prague and planned assassinations within the United States. All five accused individuals currently remain at large.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen security conference that Moscow has conducted targeted sabotage against Danish defense contractors supplying military equipment to Ukraine, characterizing the acts as a hybrid warfare escalation. Russian officials have not publicly responded to the allegations.
