US indicts five alleged Russian agents over global sabotage and murder plots
US prosecutors unseal charges against five alleged Russian operatives, while Danish intelligence reports targeted sabotage against defense suppliers aiding Ukraine.
United States prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence agents accused of leading a global sabotage and assassination network targeting supporters of Ukraine. Federal authorities contend the suspects recruited operatives across Europe and North America to conduct surveillance and physical attacks, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. All five defendants remain at large.
Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported that Russian-aligned actors executed sabotage against Danish defense contractors providing military hardware to Kyiv. Danish officials described the operations as a clear escalation in Moscow's hybrid warfare strategy to undermine Western support for Ukraine.
