Ukrainian troops advance near Kupiansk and Lyman while Russia claims gains near Sumy and strikes ammunition depots in the Kyiv region.

Ukrainian forces are reportedly advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with officials preparing to announce the control of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Concurrently, Russia's Ministry of Defence reported that its troops have captured several settlements near Sumy. Russian forces also conducted strikes against ammunition storage depots located in the Kyiv region. On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly refuted claims of Ukrainian battlefield achievements, asserting that Russian defensive lines remain secure despite ongoing combat across northern and eastern Ukraine.
