US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots, while Denmark reported Russian sabotage targeting its defense sector.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed charges against five individuals linked to Russian intelligence services for allegedly planning assassinations and sabotage operations across Europe and the US. According to court filings in Manhattan, the suspects operated a clandestine network that paid operatives to conduct surveillance and execute attacks against individuals and entities supporting Ukraine. Alleged operations included a June 2024 attack in Prague, alongside broader murder plots. None of the five suspects have been apprehended.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service disclosed that Russian-backed actors engaged in targeted physical sabotage against Danish defense companies manufacturing equipment for Kyiv. Authorities in Copenhagen categorized the actions as an escalation in hybrid tactics aimed at undermining Western military support for Ukraine.
