A US-Ukraine Patriot missile production deal will not be finalized before winter, as Ukrainian drone strikes hit warehouse facilities across western Russia.

A bilateral agreement between the United States and Ukraine to jointly manufacture Patriot interceptor missiles is unlikely to be finalized before winter, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker. Speaking in a television interview, Whitaker characterized the initiative as a long-term project, though he emphasized that joint production efforts for broader air defense systems with European partners remain underway.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes struck logistics infrastructure across western Russia. Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed that an overnight strike on a warehouse facility near the capital killed five people and wounded ten others. Regional officials also reported drone activity targeting storage hubs operated by online retailer Wildberries in Saint Petersburg and Tver.
