Ukrainian strikes target aerospace plants in Samara as frontline clashes intensify
Satellite imagery confirms strikes on aerospace facilities in Russia's Samara region as heavy combat continues across eastern front sectors.
Satellite imagery and regional authorities confirmed that Ukrainian long-range strikes damaged industrial facilities in Russia's Samara region, hitting sites linked to the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the Aviakor aircraft plant. The industrial complex manufactures Soyuz launch vehicles and services strategic aircraft. Regional officials in Russia also reported drone and missile activity across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions.
Meanwhile, intense ground combat persisted across eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian military officials reported over 250 engagements within 24 hours, with heavy Russian offensive pressure focused on the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes. Russian units also attempted to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk and expanded territorial control south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk sector.
