Ukrainian strikes hit Russian aerospace plants as heavy fighting persists in east

Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted aerospace facilities in Russia's Samara region, damaging sites connected to the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the Aviakor aviation plant. Satellite imagery and local reports confirmed impacts on facilities responsible for manufacturing Soyuz carrier rockets and maintaining military aircraft, including Tu-95 bombers. Additional missile and drone attacks were recorded across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, with reports pointing to strikes near the Savasleika airbase.

Concurrently, intense fighting continued across eastern Ukraine, where the General Staff reported more than 250 clashes in a single day. Russian forces mounted frequent assaults along the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, expanded control south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk sector, and attempted to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk.
