Ukrainian drone strikes and Russian missile attacks cause casualties as frontline fighting continues

Cross-border hostilities and aerial strikes have caused casualties and infrastructure damage across multiple regions in Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian drone attacks targeted several Russian locations, including Moscow Oblast, where regional authorities reported five deaths and ten injuries. In Krasnodar Krai, a drone fell on a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka, killing seven people and injuring up to 40 others. Strikes also ignited fires at Wildberries e-commerce facilities in Leningrad Oblast.

In Ukraine, Russian missile strikes on Kyiv resulted in nine fatalities and 33 injuries. On the front line, Russian forces made tactical gains near Artelne in Kharkiv Oblast, while Ukrainian troops progressed toward Uspenivka in Donetsk Oblast. Meanwhile, Belarusian military authorities announced plans to establish a new air assault brigade near the border with Ukraine.
