Ukraine targets Russian aerospace facilities in Samara as frontline fighting intensifies

Ukrainian forces launched widespread aerial strikes against industrial and military infrastructure across several Russian regions, including Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov. Satellite analysis confirmed hits on the Progress Rocket Space Centre in Samara, which manufactures Soyuz-2 launch vehicles, as well as damage near the adjacent Aviakor aircraft repair plant. Samara's regional governor acknowledged a massive missile attack on local industrial facilities.

Simultaneously, intense fighting persisted along the eastern front line. Ukraine's General Staff reported 254 combat engagements in a 24-hour period, with heavy Russian offensive operations concentrated in the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors. Russian forces also expanded control south of Dobropillia and maintained pressure near Kupyansk along the Oskil River.
