Wildfires force over 73,000 evacuations in Spain, while fresh Russian strikes hit Kyiv and the International Criminal Court votes to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan.

Massive wildfires across four Spanish provinces—Ávila, Castellón, Madrid, and Toledo—have forced the evacuation of more than 73,000 people, marking the country's largest wildfire-related displacement this century. Emergency services report that over 170,000 residents remain in high-risk zones.

Meanwhile, security concerns continue to escalate in Eastern Europe. Russian military strikes targeted Kyiv early Sunday, causing severe fires across three municipal districts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that intelligence indicates Moscow has prepared missiles for another potential large-scale bombardment within 48 hours. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reiterated that freezing the active conflict remains impossible without specific political concessions from Ukrainian leadership.

Separately, member states of the International Criminal Court voted to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations involving a staff member.
