Russian strikes targeted Kyiv following warnings of a massive attack, while ICC member states voted to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following misconduct allegations.

Russian forces launched strikes against Kyiv early Sunday, causing fires across three city districts including Desnyansky, Shevchenkivsky, and Solomyansky. Emergency service officials confirmed damage to a warehouse, parked vehicles, and an abandoned building. The attack follows warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding Russian preparations for a massive missile strike.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that freezing the conflict remains impossible due to Kyiv's position, asserting that peace conditions established two years ago must be met.

In international developments, member states of the International Criminal Court voted by a large majority to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following allegations of sexual misconduct.

Additionally, severe wildfires in Spain across Ávila, Castellón, Madrid, and Toledo forced the evacuation of over 73,000 residents.
