Russian strikes hit Kyiv and surrounding areas, killing up to 17 people, as reports indicate North Korean missile units are deploying to Russia's Voronezh region.

Russian forces launched a coordinated overnight assault using ballistic missiles and drones against Kyiv and surrounding areas, leaving severe destruction in residential and logistical sites, including warehouses in the Bucha district. Casualty estimates from regional authorities and monitoring outlets varied slightly, reporting between 15 and 17 people killed and between 44 and 51 injured.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian intelligence reports indicated that a North Korean missile detachment has begun deploying up to six mobile launchers and dozens of ballistic missiles in Russia's Voronezh region to support Moscow's offensive operations.

On the ground, Ukrainian troops engaged entrenched Russian soldiers in Kupyansk and took prisoners near Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. In Moscow, President Vladimir Putin announced impending command shifts within the Russian armed forces and the defense ministry.
