Russian forces strike Kyiv as Trump halts planned US attacks on Iran

Russian forces launched early-morning air strikes on Kyiv on Sunday, causing fires across three city districts including Desnyansky, Shevchenkivsky, and Solomyansky, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service. Emergency personnel reported damage to a warehouse, multiple vehicles, and an abandoned building. The assault followed warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding an imminent missile barrage.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump instructed the American military to refrain from further strikes against Iran to enable diplomatic efforts, according to reports citing informed sources.
Separately, International Criminal Court member states voted to dismiss Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following misconduct allegations, while the Kremlin maintained that freezing the Ukrainian conflict remains impossible due to Kyiv's stance.
