Russia launches fresh missile strikes on Ukraine as Kremlin awaits Trump war proposals

Russian forces launched missile strikes across Ukraine as Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow awaits war termination proposals from Donald Trump.
Russian forces launched high-speed ballistic and Onyx missiles in widespread strikes across Ukraine, causing heavy casualties in the Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. A missile strike on a private training facility in the Kyiv region left ten people dead and approximately 100 injured, according to Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. In Zaporizhzhia, an airstrike wounded 30 individuals, including seven children.
Ukrainian military officials reported 52 combat engagements along the front lines by Friday afternoon alongside persistent shelling of border settlements.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow is waiting for new proposals from U.S. President Donald Trump on ending the war. Peskov added that Russia will continue pursuing its objectives through military means given the current lack of diplomatic prospects.
