Russia launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv while Ukrainian drones targeted Russian oil infrastructure, amidst U.S.-led NATO exercises near Kaliningrad.

Russian forces launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv overnight, killing at least two people and injuring six others, shortly after the departure of U.S. envoys from the Ukrainian capital. The strike followed a previous Russian drone attack on a British American Tobacco facility in northern Ukraine.

In response, Ukrainian drone attacks targeted industrial facilities across Russia's Samara and Saratov regions. Local authorities reported intercepting dozens of drones, though a fire broke out at the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara and casualties were reported in Saratov.

Concurrently, U.S.-led NATO forces conducted military maneuvers near Russia's Kaliningrad enclave, involving American and Norwegian aircraft along with Polish ground units. In response to inquiries, NATO described itself as a "defensive alliance" continuously improving its capabilities.
