Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of altering global order, while Russian strikes targeted Kyiv following warnings from Ukrainian leadership.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed Western nations disrupted the post-World War II global framework through NATO expansion and events in Yugoslavia following the Soviet collapse, asserting Ukraine will eventually forfeit western lands.

Concurrently, Russian air strikes struck three districts in Kyiv, igniting fires across commercial and residential sites. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously cautioned that intelligence indicated an impending mass missile attack.

Additionally, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov ruled out freezing the conflict, attributing the impasse to Ukraine's stance and reiterating previous demands. In a separate development, member states of the International Criminal Court voted to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following allegations of misconduct.
