NATO pledges urgent air defenses to Ukraine amid escalating global tensions

NATO promises air defense systems to Ukraine as reports emerge of North Korean missile deployments to Russia and an updated US nuclear strategy.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that the alliance is working to "urgently" provide Ukraine with air defense systems following recent Russian missile strikes that penetrated Ukrainian defenses.
The announcement comes alongside reports from Ukrainian military intelligence alleging that North Korea is deploying a missile unit to Russia's Voronezh region near the Ukrainian border. The deployment reportedly includes up to 120 ballistic missiles, six launchers, and approximately 90 North Korean personnel.
Concurrently, reports indicate the US Department of Defense is drafting a revised nuclear strategy to offer broader tactical options in potential conflicts involving Russia or China, shifting greater emphasis toward short-range nuclear capabilities.
