Keith Schembri cross-examined in Fenech trial as Malta updates emergency and transit services

Keith Schembri faced cross-examination in the Yorgen Fenech trial, while Malta announced new civil protection certifications and public transit figures for Isle of MTV.
Cross-examination of former chief of staff Keith Schembri continued in the trial of Yorgen Fenech over the 2017 assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. Schembri's court appearance followed his earlier claims that defence lawyers had attempted to bribe a witness in the proceedings.
In separate developments, Sustainable Mobility Minister Chris Bonett reported that around 10,000 concert-goers used public transit or ferry services after attending the Isle of MTV event. Additionally, officials announced that every member of Malta's Civil Protection Department has now attained NFPA 1001 international certification, establishing standardized training across the nation's emergency response service.
