Israel reinforces West Bank military presence following fatal attack
Israel has reinforced troops in the West Bank following a fatal attack near Tel, while France battles 32 active wildfires that have burned 50,000 hectares this year.
IDF Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir has ordered a reinforcement of Israeli military forces in the West Bank following a fatal shooting near the Palestinian village of Tel.
According to the Israeli military, a Palestinian attacker seized a weapon from a local civil security coordinator before opening fire on civilians. The attack resulted in at least one death, prompting Israeli military leadership to describe the incident as a "severe terrorist attack" and immediately dispatch additional personnel to the region.
In a separate emergency development, French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez announced that emergency services are currently combating 32 active wildfires across France, with over 50,000 hectares burned since the beginning of 2026.
