Authorities in Spain and Turkey are investigating multiple transport accidents, including a major high-speed train collision in Toledo and several fatal road crashes.

Investigations remain underway into several severe transport accidents reported across Spain and Turkey. In central Spain, a collision between two high-speed trains near Los Yebenes along the Madrid-Seville line resulted in at least 64 deaths after two carriages tumbled down an embankment.

Meanwhile, Turkish authorities responded to multiple fatal road collisions across several provinces. A head-on crash between two passenger vehicles in Ankara's Polatlı district killed three individuals and injured four others. In Isparta province, a midibus transporting seasonal agricultural workers collided with a freight truck, leaving 17 workers injured. Additionally, another collision involving heavy goods vehicles caused one fatality and three injuries. Emergency services attended all sites, and formal inquiries into the causes of the crashes are ongoing.
