German authorities are searching for an identified suspect following a deadly vehicle attack at Berlin's Pride parade in Tiergarten park.

German police are searching for an identified suspect with reported Islamist ties following a vehicle attack at Berlin's Christopher Street Day on Saturday evening. A white vehicle drove into a crowd in Tiergarten park, killing one person and injuring at least 15 others, with three remaining in critical condition.

Reports also indicate several individuals sustained knife wounds during the incident. Pride festivities were halted shortly before 10:00 p.m. as emergency services responded to the scene.

Although the driver fled on foot, law enforcement confirmed that a suspect has been identified, though no arrest has been made yet. Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner characterized the event as "an attack on our free and open society". Police investigations into the suspect's whereabouts and motive remain ongoing.
