Die Linke leads pre-election polling in Berlin, while an administrative correction shifts a direct seat to the AfD and reduces the state parliament's size by five mandates.

Ahead of Berlin’s state parliamentary election, polling by Forsa places Die Linke in the lead with 22 percent, driven largely by strong support among younger demographics. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Alternative for Germany (AfD) follow tied at 18 percent, while the Social Democratic Party (SPD) trails at 12 percent.

Meanwhile, an administrative transmission error in Spandau was corrected, reallocating a direct parliamentary seat from CDU candidate Bettina Meißner to AfD candidate Tommy Tabor. The adjustment eliminated overhang seats, reducing the overall size of the Abgeordnetenhaus by five mandates.

Electoral analyses highlight distinct demographic trends across the capital. Participation remains lower among residents with migrant backgrounds in districts such as Neukölln. Concurrently, reports indicate increasing interest in the AfD among some young voters of Turkish origin who cite concerns over public safety and economic stability.
