A vote recount in Berlin assigned an AfD mandate at the CDU's expense, as polling and demographic reporting highlight changing voter trends across the capital.

Following a recalculation caused by a transmission error in Berlin's Spandau district, a direct mandate in the state election was reassigned from CDU candidate Bettina Meißner to Tommy Tabor of the AfD. The correction subsequently reduced the total size of the Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus by five seats through overhang adjustments.

Meanwhile, political dynamics across the capital reveal shifting voter tendencies. A Forsa survey placed Die Linke in the lead at 22 percent, propelled largely by strong support among younger demographics. Conversely, participation remains lower among residents with a migration background in areas such as Neukölln. However, reporting indicates that some young voters of Turkish origin are gravitating toward the AfD, citing concerns regarding crime, economic instability, and public order.
