A Forsa poll puts Die Linke ahead in Berlin's state election while a voting correction in Spandau reallocates a seat to the AfD.

Four weeks ahead of Berlin’s state election, a Forsa poll places Die Linke in the lead with 22 percent of the vote, driven largely by strong youth support. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Alternative for Germany (AfD) follow at 18 percent each, while the Social Democratic Party (SPD) stands at 12 percent.

Meanwhile, reporting highlights shifting voter dynamics across demographics, including lower turnout among citizens with migrant backgrounds and an emerging interest in the AfD among some young residents of Turkish origin who express concern over public safety and economic security.

Additionally, election officials corrected a transmission error in a Spandau constituency, reallocating a direct seat from CDU candidate Bettina Meißner to AfD candidate Tommy Tabor. The recount eliminated overhang mandates, reducing the size of the Abgeordnetenhaus by five seats.
