Deadly drone strikes hit Russian regions as frontline combat persists

Cross-border drone attacks and heavy frontline fighting continued across Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian drone strikes hit multiple Russian regions, resulting in civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. In Krasnodar Krai, a drone fell onto a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka, killing seven people, including three children, and injuring dozens more. Strikes in Moscow Oblast left five dead and ten injured, while intercepted drones over Leningrad Oblast ignited a fire at a Wildberries e-commerce warehouse.

On the battlefield, Russian troops secured tactical gains near Artelne in Kharkiv Oblast, while Ukrainian forces reported progress near Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast. Additionally, Belarus announced the formation of a new air assault brigade along its border with Ukraine following recent escalations, including an earlier Russian overnight attack on Kyiv that killed nine people.
