Albania faces political accusations and security threats while Kosovo police arrest a high-profile fugitive near the Serbian border.

Tensions rose in Albania as recently expelled individual Valon Bela released a video message directly threatening Prime Minister Edi Rama. Bela, declared persona non grata by Albanian authorities, posted footage featuring heavy weaponry alongside a warning addressed to the prime minister.

Concurrently, opposition Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha leveled fresh corruption accusations against Rama and cabinet members regarding the Vlora Airport project. Berisha claimed officials attempted to illegally acquire shares from businessman Behgjet Pacolli, who announced plans to pursue international arbitration following government steps to terminate the contract.

In neighboring Kosovo, law enforcement apprehended fugitive Egzon Reshani near the border while he attempted to flee into Serbia. Reshani was wanted on multiple criminal charges, including attempted murder.
